THEME: CODING
What can you expect in our Home Education Days?
🧱 WeDo 2.0 is perfect for beginners (suggested ages 5–11), combining LEGO construction with simple coding to bring your creations to life. Choose from three different builds based on your experience level—each one more fun than the last!
🤖 EV3 Robots (suggested ages 10+) offer a challenge for those ready to level up! Program your robot to avoid obstacles, navigate mazes, or even dodge LEGO minifigures.
Both WeDo and EV3 setups will be available in the lunch area as casual, drop-in stations. Our friendly Science Communicators will be on hand to guide you through the builds—no matter your age or experience.
So whether you’re a curious kid, a coding teen, or a grown-up with a love for LEGO, swing by and give it a go!
Know before your visit:
- Everyone who attends needs a ticket, including accompanying adults and siblings.
- Children under 3 years old are free.
- All children attending the event must be supervised and accompanied by their grown-ups at all times.
- Children under 5 will not be able to take part in activities.
- If you are intending to bring older or younger children into the sessions, please bear in mind that the content may not be engaging for them, and restless behaviour can affect the enjoyment of others in the audience. We will be happy to recommend alternative things to do that might be more relevant.
- Please note that the workshops and activities for Home Educator Day will now run from 10:00–12:00 and 13:00–14:00.
