Learn how to construct shapes within a team and individually to complete 2D and 3D shapes and patterns.

Start with basic challenges of creating 2D letters using wooden KAPLA blocks. As you go through the workshop challenges start to build in difficulty. Challenges could include making the tallest tower to building a bridge over a gap. This workshop is presenter lead and challenges will vary from class to class depending on ability.

Learning objectives

Learn to work independently and as part of a group/team to complete a challenge.
Investigate how to construct different shapes in 2D and 3D, patterns and structures using simple blocks.
Recognise that some challenges are not always straight forwards and need some problem solving with guidance from teaching staff and Xplore! presenters.
