Xplore! Science Discovery Centre in Wrexham are excited to share a new project developed in conjuntion with ECLAS (Equipping Christian Leadership in an Age of Science) and St. Mark’s Church, Caia Park, Wrexham; and created especially for church groups and Christian leaders. This November, we invite you to join us for a special training session called “How to Include Science in your engagement with children and families.”
Xplore! and St Mark’s Church have been exploring how science can help us to understand our faith. This session is designed to help faith leaders like you bring scientific ideas into your church activities in a way that fits naturally with the Christian message.
What You’ll Learn:
- Faith and Science Together: Discover how science and faith can link up to make your engagement with children and families relevant and meaningful.
- Practical Ideas: Get hands-on tips for incorporating science topics into your work with children and families.
- Interactive Workshops: Take part in discussions and activities that will help you feel confident talking about science within the context of the Christian faith.
- Helpful Resources: Walk away with session plans, topic exploration guides, and lots of other tools to help you continue learning and teaching.
This training is a great chance to bring science into your faith community, helping everyone grow in understanding.
Those who attend the training will have the option, resourced by Xplore! Science Discovery Centre, to host a community engagement event in their own church or community building in the early spring of 2025. This offer is funded by ECLAS and is free of charge.

This session is perfect for clergy, ministers, youth and children’s work leaders, and anyone involved in your church who wants to include science as part of their work and witness.
