Adventure enthusiasts can end their summer holidays in style with the return of a well-loved Family Funday taking place in Wrexham. Xplore! Science Discovery Centre is staging the full-day event at Llwyn Isaf field this September, which will see local organisations come together to offer a range of free amusements to promote play in the community.
This time, the Funday is themed all around the Science Centre’s sense of adventure, with the return of the popular 7 metre climbing wall, pedal go karts and traditional games on Saturday, September 14th.
Made possible through the Shared Prosperity Fund, the Funday will also feature pro-skill soccer skills, orienteering workshops, laser tag and a wide range of outdoor activities running from 11am-5pm.
Xplore!’s Community Fundraising and Outreach Coordinator Clair Griffiths said: “After our highly successful Fundays, we’re excited to end the summer holidays with a bang with an event in an even bigger space.”
“It’s an incredible opportunity for everyone to come together, enjoy exciting activities, and celebrate the spirit that makes the Wrexham community so special.”
In addition, activities for all abilities, such as face painting and the Play Team will be available with activities throughout the day.
Clair added: “It’s an exciting time for us, with plans currently underway to develop our upstairs area, as well as the upcoming new exhibits we have coming in September. We are very much looking forward to some new and exciting developments!”
